Storytelling is an important part of any app or game. We will look at several examples of AR applications and games that utilize storytelling in order to outline storytelling-specific methods and techniques, that you can implement in your AR projects. This lecture describes the meaning of storytelling, the importance of storytelling for AR applications, and the components of storytelling - which techniques and mechanics you can implement in your app in order to improve your storytelling.

AR Storytelling 1/3: Definition
In this video, we take a look at the concept of storytelling and explain what it means. We will also look at different forms of storytelling available today and try to transform the definition of common storytelling to AR storytelling. The aim of this part of the lecture is to see the main concept of AR-storytelling.
AR Storytelling 2/3: Examples of AR apps
In this video, we look at several examples of storytelling-rich AR applications. For each application, we outline the main storytelling technique (or feature) that is used in it. We also briefly touch upon the concepts of gamification and diegetic user interface.
AR Storytelling 3/3: Examples of AR games
In this video, we look at several examples of storytelling-rich AR games. For each game, we outline the main storytelling technique (or feature) that is used in it. We find the importance of game design solutions as well, and outline what questions you should first answer when developing a storytelling-rich AR game. In the end, we list all the findings and advice that we get from the reviewed apps and games.
